What do Your Habit's Say About You?

You know the saying, "You are what you eat." Well, it turns out that's not entirely true. You are what you do. Your habits define you more than anything else.

And that's why it's so important to make sure you're building high-performance habits.

Sure, you can probably get by with a few bad habits. But if you really want to be successful, you need to focus on building habits that will help you perform at your best.

Here are a few things to keep in mind as you work on building high-performance habits:

1. Make sure your habits are aligned with your goals.

If your goal is to lose weight, then a high-performance habit would be to workout every day. If your goal is to save money, then a high-performance habit would be to save a certain percentage of your income each month.

2. Make sure your habits are specific.

Vague habits like "eat healthy" or "exercise more" are not going to cut it. You need to be specific about what you're doing in order to make it a habit.

3. Make sure your habits are realistic.

If you're not a morning person, then don't try to make a habit of working out at 6am. Find a time that works for you and stick to it.

4. Make sure your habits are measurable.

You need to be able to track your progress in order to stay motivated. If your habit is to workout three times a week, then make sure you're keeping track of how many workouts you're actually doing.

5. Make sure your habits are challenging.

If your habit is too easy, then you're not going to see any results. If your habit is too hard, then you're going to get discouraged and give up. Find a happy medium that challenges you but is still achievable.

6. Make sure your habits are rewarding.

You need to find a way to reward yourself for sticking to your habit. This could be something as simple as allowing yourself to watch an extra hour of TV each week.

Building high-performance habits is not easy. But it's worth it. If you can focus on building habits that will help you achieve your goals, then you'll be on your way to success.
